    The obverse looks horrible cleaned and it looks like someone took a die grinder to the front two legs. They're obliterated!!! Very cool looking Buff for sure. Did ya get this one from GSC too?

    The owner of the coin told me he really thinks it is a lamination, strike thru, or a filled die. No modification outside the mint.

    Really neat reverse, and I don't think it's post mint damage. Maybe lamination? Nice toning on the reverse but I don't like the front. The linear streaking on the top surfaces suggest some cleaning in the past.

    These are just my thoughts... please only take them with a grain of salt.

    Lastly, I would grade this AU 58.

    Maybe a rusted die? Looks like a overextended die and that would be the norm for the year. The mint also purchased this material from outside sources other than in house and was plagued with problems from poor mixing of the alloys such as lamination and streaking. It could be lots of things. Would be nice to see this in hand.
