<< <i>I heard/read about someone picking some MS buffs in PCI holders and crossing them over to PCGS Proofs.
That truly is awesome! >>
The holder was FAR worse than PCI. It was NNC.
That alone is worth the award.
Happy, humble, honored and proud recipient of the “You Suck” award 10/22/2014
Knowledge is king. Plastic is ... well ... just plastic.
You suck buffnix.
Buffnix, YouSuck.
Major score, considering how.

That alone is worth the award.
what would the reaction be if the dealer was the buyer?

Now you're gonna have a ton more competition looking at everything GSC and Centsles sells.
Time to change your name to the BUFFINATOR.
For the finale, see if you can sell those 2 proofs back to those guys.

I am thinking that it would be pretty much the standard, "You can trust those thieving sons-o-horse patties," or some such thing.
But of course we do that to widows and orphans on a daily basis so I guess it not even worth mentioning.

In this case, if the seller had been that one large purveyor of NNC slabs who won the contest and might have a clue about coins, I do believe this would be Karma. I don't know if the seller and the contest winner are one and the same in this case.
I do recall buying an NNC slab off the bay by looking at what was inside, and getting a nice deal, by buying the coin and not the slab. That said, the rest of the coins in the NNC slabs I have purchased (3 or 4), well if I'd been paying for the grade I would have been sorely disappointed. Fortunately I knew better at the time, but not everyone does.
I consider them the equivalent of raw, and despise large scale sellers who pretend the NNC scale is the standard. Thus reveling when Karma comes around.
Eta: I accidentally edited off the part about what we would say if it had been a dealer...perhaps a bit of a double standard, but a reason in this case. Can't quote or type well on my tablet, but that is what I meant to include in the quote too.

nice score BUFFNIX - your chance of ending 'good' is now 100%

Depends....as always, there isn't enough info when "turning the tables"...but that is par for the course.
To me, IF the dealer were the buyer AND the seller were knowledgeable (ie...."previously won the PCGS grading challenge"), then fair game,
IF the dealer were the buyer AND the seller were a normal collector, then I would hope the dealer would have some couth and ethics and play fairly with the seller.
Of course, that type of distinction is always missing when a "dealer" says "what if it were reversed...?".....
I've been told I tolerate fools poorly...that may explain things if I have a problem with you. Current ebay items - Nothing at the moment

<< <i>This is probably the largest number of "You Sucks" I've seen awarded since I joined the forum, so here's one more. "You Suck, Tom"
I was going to try to explain this to my wife but I decided not to!
Was just in the right place at the right time with these 2 buffs.
You just never know what is around the corner.
I was thinking as these coins were on the way to pcgs
"If I am wrong on both I am really in trouble"
"If I am wrong on one, I am still in trouble on one of the threads".
Hard for me to believe I had the 13 type one for over a year before I
realized what it was.
I really appreciated all the comments, especially contrary ones.

Should really keep that in mind.
