    I picked five 100.00 bills at the bank and noticed all the serial numbers matched LD 15531844 A thru LD 15531848 A. Also got five 20.00 bills..Four of them are D 626662161 B thru D 6266165 B.

    Perhaps I'm wrong, but I don't believe sequential serial numbers have any premium value on modern currency.

    You are correct. Unless they are star notes or "special" serial numbers there is no added value.

    That's how I read it. They are referred to as "fancy serial numbers". There are also radar notes, all the same number, and number 1 serial numbers.

    You can orders straps of 50 new $2 bills and they will be in sequence. A RADAR note would be like 123454321.

    You mean a little green Star after the serial number ? I have a 1969 100.00 bill and a 2004 50.00 with a green star after the serial number...

    There are also mismatched serial number notes where the two serial numbers on a bill are different which is caused when the device that imprint the serial numbers jams.

    Yes. Pictures would help. What are the districts/serial #s ? Like everything else condition is a factor.

    The 100.00 bill serial number is F 00210853 followed by a small star. The 50.00 number is EK 00597716 followed by a star .

    To some degree consecutive serial numbers can be collectible, but they are a very tough sell unless they are something special.

    What you have are a pair of star notes. The 2009A LC* consisted of a printing of 3,200,000 notes, so they aren't all that rare, but are worth around $140 to maybe $160 each.

    Is that $20 bill a post mint added decal? Do not think it could happen in the printing process since it is transparent.... or did you post it as a joke? Cheers, RickO

    That Dole banana sticker was on the paper and the bill was printed over the paper sticker. Very cool error.

    I often thought that it be nice if coins had s/n's starting with #0000001 for the first production strike.

    I know it's impractical but it would be a great identifier.

    Be a big war on trying to get the lowest number, etc, like the currency guys chase s/n's.

    That $20 shown above is cool.
