Beautiful St. George & the Dragon Pattern Crown - DNW

There is a beautiful 1910 Pattern Crown in gold in the 11Feb DNW auction - but good luck in winning. The coin is 1 of 2 and the estimate is 80,000 to 100,000 pounds. NGC PF62, but who cares. Engraver was A. G. Wyon

Well, just Love coins, period.
Coinkat - I agree, it would have made a beautiful circulating crown!
Currently sitting in Geneva (actually in a hotel on the French side of the airport since the Watch and Jewelry show was this week and no hotel rooms to be had in Geneva). I got .85 CHF for my $ here on Sunday. Thankfully I had some CHF from a previous trip to help ease the pain.

The Forex exchange looks to be less painful than the actual Davos prices for a hot dog. ....... and I thought "dogs" were overpriced in Rosemont !!!

edited to add, I see you had the estimate posted already, I was too dazzled by the coin to notice at first

The resemblance of the reserve with some modern one year type issues, such as 2005 and/or 2012 is striking.
