Can't find an option to use a credit card on Paypal?

This probably makes me look stupid, but how do you actually use a credit card through Paypal? I have one saved on there, but it only lets me use my Paypal balance. With all the scamming going on, it would be nice to know. Does your balance have to be less than what you're buying?

Balance is always first.

Pull the cash to a bank account or buy yourself some gift cards.

Split payments go balance then CC/Bank. Spend more than your balance and it will ask for a second method.

So if you're spending more than your balance you can choose *either* CC or checking?

Look around for a link to other funding options. They make it hard to find [small print] because they'd prefer that you not use a CC. Make sure that you don't keep a balance.

If you have a balance that will cover the transaction, that's your only choice. What I do is first withdraw my entire balance so it becomes $0. Then I go to pay, and there's an option to fund with an alternate source (default is to transfer from your bank), of which one is your credit card.

Yes
But bank account is always slected by default. Don't forget to change to CC

Yes.

For some things you can pay with paypal as a guest without using your account (or ever having an account) as long as you use a different credit card.
I'm not sure if it works on ebay, it won't work if the seller uses a personal account or if their payment settings require buyers to have an account.

Look for a tab "my wallet". Add or delete cards there.

Anything over a couple of hundred bucks I ALWAYS pay with a CC through PP. Irrelevant how much is in my PP (or bank) account.

Under payments there is a "change" link which gets you to the CC choice page. I've been doing this for years.....

But first you have to transfer any funds in your paypal account to your bank, then attempt to pay.
