I went to see Chicago in concert in 1974. The warm-up band came out first. Bob Seger just put together the Silver Bullet Band and his Live album (1975) and Night Moves album (1976) were yet to come. Never heard of him, no idea who he was, but I was hooked from the first song. Love his old stuff.

Ran out and bought his just released album, Back in '72. That album has the studio version of Turn the Page. When you hear that song on the radio, it is always the live version. That's because Seger refuses to release the studio version of the song because he doesn't much like it. That makes the Back in '72 album a collectors item. Still have it, but it probably only grades in Fair condition, it's been used a bit.

One of the strangest pairings I've ever heard/seen ... Bob Seger and the Silver Bullet Band opening for Kiss.
Maybe 1974 Tampa, FL.

Saw Bob Seger at Cobo Hall in Detroit in either 1967 or 1968.

I remember listening to the "Bob Seger System" on the radio in high school late 60s and early 70s
then in 1974 Bob Seger and the Silver Bullet Band played and big beer & wine bar I worked at as a
bouncer. They did a couple of week long gigs there over a period of time. Around the mid 70s they
got more famous and did big concerts. That bar had groups like him the Winter Brother, CDB, the
local band Lynyrd Skynyrd and the " Motor City Madman " Ted Nugent. Dude, you ain't lived until
you sat on a tour bus with Charlie Daniels and his guys back in the day.
