the details of this example look sweet
solid xf obverse...could be borderline vf reverse there
minor reverse rim issues but should be acceptable for grade
i can't really make much out about the surfaces though

i do hope this does work out for ya though...maybe it's a sweet rare overton too

but yeah
i'm in reserve until better images

did you snag this at a rip or great price point?

Not really a rip. Maybe a decent bargain if it turns out well. I just loved the look of it.

What Brian said...the rims look clean and those surfaces look Original all day, even with the blurry images.
My only concern might be a scratch or ding that is hiding somewhere ? Looks more 35 than 40, but some nice luster might tip the scale

Hurts my eyes. It appears to be a very early die state of the O-109

In hand, it may not have any rotation and no reverse cracks either (like the one on my site). Milling appears to be similar to my example as well

Rim ding, noon on the obverse, may keep it out of a holder. And maybe it is just the camera, but the green tint is bothering me. PVC?

I will say you may be a bit disappointed with the shape the reverse rim is in.

The coin does have a great look though.

Rim marks like those usually turn out to be letters that have been struck on the very edge of the coin, pretty common on the early dates.
Could also be dings, but it's a safe bet their not...those are just the right shape and in just the right place.

Part of me wants to like it, and part of me thinks the coin may have issues. No way to know about the rims without having the coin in hand. I'll defer to PCGS.
