1914 buffalo newp...***updated my images***

can't wait for this one to thunder in my corral if sellers images hold what i think they do...one sweet n tasty example...enjoy if ya do
image

***************update in hand*******************
i feel so stupid and want to crawl under a darn rock...i think i'm done posting anything untill it's in hand....PERIOD !!!!
so it arrived....i was in a hurry to get it off to robec for professional imaging right
i shot a couple quick pix before tossing it in a box to dart off to the post office
this was on my camera when i returned..."A DARN STAPLE SCRATCH ON THIS REVERSE" image
talk about wanting to crawl under a darn rock image...only good thing is
yet again i prove my lack of savyness to cheer up others who may think there the only one's with poor luck at times
for $80...this seller will face ebay/paypal's wrath and a neg if he doesn't play nice with my return for not disclosing a staple scratch
image
image

of all things too....i think it is a struck from a proof obverse die as the numbers in the date are flat and square
bwah-bwah-bwah
note to self....crawl under rock...NOW as my trials n tribulations continue

Has promise to be nicely toned but what are you hoping for?

i love a fully struck toned early buffalo...
1914 isn't exactly a great year for full strikes
looks like full separation of hair going into his hairtie
that cape and head dress of the buff brings a smile upon my face...being this is mine..MINE-MINE-MINE

That would actually be a good thing because it would come right off. But I think what you are seeing is color distortion in the photography.

I think the obverse has started to take on a nice darker blue tone as some buffs do in this condition. I agree that the strike is looking very good based on these images. Please update when you have it in hand as I would like to see it very much.

i'm going to send it off to robec within an hour of delivery for a glamour shot
the obverse does have a blue tint when sellers image is played with

this will sit nicely by my 13' type one with strike n color
    grade #'s...just aren't my thing

    my guess...at best...i'd be only seeing a ms63/64 here
could even be dinked down to au58 for rub on hip n feather tops
but i just love it's look and love finding raw coins to send in

this is one i'm keeping for my core

2015 goal...i'll have me a 13 type 1 matte proof example i'll be proudly displaying too

Looks absolutely hammered. Bison's head and Indian's hair knot appear to be off the charts. Can't wait for sharper pix!

The '14-P isn't an easy coin with a full or near full strike. Uncharacteristically for the series the D and S Mint coins have a higher percentage of near full/full strikes.

    Nice pick up.

If it weren't for the clashing, I'd say it had a shot at being a proof.

Look forward to seeing some better pics.

Nice coin, This is one that just may go in to a AU58 holder need a better photo but a very nice coin. Not downing your coin but see the hip bone and the rounding of it. They may hit it or pass it in to a MS grade, This is just me thinking Dumb ~Type2. image

It sure could have happened but if I knew your were bidding I would a backed off. It is hammered for the date. The ridge line on that Buff is super strong. Give us an update when ya get it in hand.

It sure could have happened but if I knew your were bidding I would a backed off. It is hammered for the date. The ridge line on that Buff is super strong and the knot on the Indian's braid is full. Ya rarely see such bold lettering on business strikes as this one's showing. Give us an update when ya get it in hand.

    Bummer on that scratch!
Otherwise, the strike and color are super sweet.

Interesting how the sellers images are most off focus in the area of the scratch....

Interesting that the seller failed to mention the obvious scratch.

Sorry to hear it has a scratch.
Just send it back. It's not your fault.
