My economy order turned around in 21 business days!

ms70ms70 Posts: 13,958 ✭✭✭✭✭
I have to post this because I want to give credit where credit is due and because we do like to complain a bit.... PCGS has 34 days noted as the current turn around for US Economy
but mine was received December 16 and the grades just came in tonight. Keep in mind this order spanned the Holiday season & the FUN show. The only days I did not count were Dec 25 and Jan 1.

I thought that was pretty good and I was just thinking today I probably won't see them for a few more weeks! These were the Morgans I mentioned discovering in my Craftsman Toolbox thread.
Nothing pricey, but two Morgans that were toned very nicely that I thought I might keep for my kids. Anyway, hat's off to PCGS for working hard. image

Line # Item # Cert # PCGS No. CoinDate Denomination Variety Country Grade

2 1 31454345 7182 1888 $1 USA XF40

In my opinion you just wasted money for a grading/shipping fees. Coins like that are not worth for submitting IMO. I think your kids would appreciate more if put those coins in zip lock together with the cash you spend for grading/shipping/membership.

If I wanted your opinion on how I should spend my money, that would've been the title of the thread.

Way to rain on a guy's parade. image

Sometimes the value in a coin is not in the dollars it is worth but in the memories it has to the owner.

I'd like them to add order tracking status like they have ATS.

Heck, they even have it when I order a pizza online, it shows order received, order prep, in the oven, in quality control and out for delivery...image

I wonder if the order got processed more quickly because it was a small submission and the coins were relatively inexpensive and lower grade?

You certainly can spend your money how you please. That doesn't make it any less foolish for having these 2 coins graded! image

My mistake. I am thinking that the mailroom has authority to grade coins like this on the spot, thus the quick turnaround!

I'm sorry about my post. I posted it just before my morning coffee. You have right to spend your money as you wish. And way to go PCGS for a quick turnaround!

Thanks Brol, I shouldn't have snapped my response so quickly either. I too was uncaffinated at the time. image

Well thanks a lot...................now I guess I have cause to start the sweat since my 10 coin economy submission was dated December 15th.

I really didn't expect results til the end of the month.

    Congrats to you and PCGS.

PCGS didn't work yesterday and this is their "busy" season. This quarter seems flat to down compared to last year at this time. Last quarter was also flat.

Card certs are up a little.

As far as the OP getting these particular coins graded, it is poor form to criticize. The same folks who troll continue to troll.

    Congrats to the OP.
