The auction posted was shilled, so he did not send anyware. eBay doen't even care if they pay the fees - start getting pissy if you frequently cancel your shilled wins. >>

    Interesting.

So it was first listed the day that he bought it from me, December 30th. Does not quite correlate with his story yesterday......image

<< <i>he has agreed to keep the coin >>

It's good to know that the old fashioned version of capitalism is making a comeback - where the risk takers still keep the profits and the loses aren't a burden on others.
Unless, of course, he's too big to fail

    BLOCKED!

This is an amazing new chapter in the never-ending saga of how eBay has become rampant with fraud, deceit, and buyers and sellers whom I want nothing to do with.
    When in doubt, don't.

You would think that fact alone would negate his SNAD claim. How can he claim the pictures were deceiving if he chose to use them when he offered the coin for auction?

My final post (I think) on the subject. Carrier showed up a half hour ago with the package. I accepted it, issued a full refund and had my final value fee refunded.

Many can argue, and correctly so, that I should have not let him get away with the return. I have the coin though and it is time to move on. No concerns about chargebacks and other affiliated problems, plus I can keep my post count at a lucky number.

Some battles are worth fighting, some are not. Probably wise to just move on, as you say.

<< <i>Update: I spoke with the buyer this afternoon and exchanged a handful of emails as well. No hard feelings either way and he has agreed to keep the coin. Hopefully his interception of the package is successful.

Edit to add. Intercept failed (if ever attempted). I received the coin back and will issue a full refund. Don't need the hassle of Paypal chargebacks. Good riddance. >>

Does he have any inkling that an untold number of sellers blocked him? That might change the hard feelings part! image

Great transactions with oih82w8, JasonGaming, Moose1913.

BTW, with your lucky 7777 post count, are you going to have a give away with the Morgan? image

I think I recall something similar being done by somebody else. Maybe your buyer saw something he didn't like under a 10X loupe, canned his listing and returned the coin.

Or maybe a shooting star landed near his house, which caused the coin to fall off the dresser and change in appearance.

Maybe I should unblock your buyer as maybe these things are possible?...

Nah, I'll keep em BLOCKEDimage Thanks for the heads up.
