Welcome to the 2015 FUN Show Saturday morning January 10, 2015

PCGS exhibit of Bob Simpson's Gobrecht dollars. I tried to get some good pictures, but the lighting made that really difficult.
These are some gorgeous coins.

Some bourse floor views. I was there Friday and Saturday. There seemed to be pretty good crowd in attendance.
I did notice that by 1:30 - 2PM Saturday several dealers were already gone though.

United States Mint Engraver Don Everhart at work on a plaster model.
Don was super friendly and very informative. Answered many questions from people viewing his demonstration.

Even Abe Lincoln was interested in the wreck of the fleet of 1715 ...

The Bureau of Engraving and Printing (BEP) was on hand and the demonstration was very informative.
The process he demonstrated is very labor intensive. Spinning the wheel on the press takes a lot of effort.

Happened to be walking by and saw this guy.

... and this guy our ANA President Walter (Walt) Ostromecki

Last, but not least my friend Bobby with his Abe Lincoln portrait made entirely from Lincoln cents.
He sold it at the show and did not have to carry it around or cart it back home.

Well, that's it for now. I hope you enjoyed and it gave you some sense of being at the show.
Looking forward to next year, although it will be in Tampa, FL again. May try summer FUN if I can.

I did join the Greater Jacksonville Coin Club while at the show.
I'm looking forward to attending one of their meetings soon.

As for newp's I filled some holes in my buffalo nickel album (raw) - 1926-S and 1917-S.

Purchased my 2015-W proof Silver Eagles both raw and PCGS graded at the show.
The ASE PCGS label says FUN 2015, pretty cool.

Also, bought the Modern Coin Mart offering of the Florida Native series - Florida Panther graded.

I did attend our host PCGS luncheon on Friday and went to the folks ATS luncheon on Saturday.
Overall had a very good time, even though I didn't find or purchase too many coins.

Thanks for looking and take care. Bob
