Good job joeykoins....Creating a poll on the coin forum is quite cumbersome on first go.

Once you figure it out.....it's a piece of cake.

edited to add: Don't forget to label your poll in the title of the thread as per astrorat post.

A "range" implies a low and high value, but you just have one number. Is that the low or the high?

Example: If your collection is worth $250, would you pick #1 or #2?

    Perhaps
    $100 - $499
    $500 - $999
    $1000- $2499
    etc. etc.

The range I think he's referring to is $100-$1mil

But the bigger question is - what's it to you, OP? Judging by previous threads on the same topic, I suspect the comments to follow will be along the lines of 'none ya' or 'buzz off'

Where is the "It's worth a whole lot more than I could sell it for." option?

My collection is worth about $43.725. I got 15 - half cents and they don't add much to a collection. Neither do 2 or 3 centers.

Depends who I want to sell them to (or how desperate I am to liquidate).

After 100 votes, I see there are 13 collectors here with a nearly or more than $1,000,000 value of their collection. Beautiful and congratulations! They actually can open up their own museum probably. I thought there would be more than 13. Thanks guys for voting everyone!image

This forum skews high, versus the larger population of coin collectors.

124 responses currently, not the best constructed poll but a very nice statistical distribution nonetheless.

One does suspect that perhaps a few of the million+ responses are not true, and are the equivalent of "just show me the answers"

The choices are not ranges. How do you wish respondents to answer for "in between" values, such as $4000? $75,000? $300,000?

On the contrary, it is worth a whole lot more to me than I could sell it for. Otherwise, I wouldn't still own it. Market value has absolutely nothing to do with personal value.

There are a lot of dealers that use this forum. If they are including their inventory, then the million+ votes may be close to accurate.

As of 1-6-2015, 1:00 P.M. Central time it looks as if #7. ($50,000) range has the most votes! #10. is kinda fishy, no? Maybe true maybe not? Thanks once again for your valuable input and time. My curiosity has flourished.image

I took it to mean that if you select a number, say $50,000, you are saying your collection is between the previous number and $50K.

I don't think inventory should be included in the value of a collection. Just sayin.
