    Maybe.

I expect they will be made available in early 2015. The 2012 and 2013 sets had good sales numbers.

The production schedule may have something listed, but the actual production is OVER for anything 2014 since mid December at the latest

    I agree with your assessment
Unfortunately for the usmint, they lose collectors of certain products by having
    "Breaks" in a series. 2012, 2013, no 2014, 2015

Production of 2014-dated coins is over, but they may already be minted and waiting for assembly into sets.

Maybe the Mint is going into ETF's ?

Might be a winner for them. You could invest in Mint product without bothering with the actual physical items.

I think there will be a GAP in the issuance years of this set (no 2014, just like the GAP in the silver eagle proofs/2009)

I have never seen the US Mint INITIALLY/BEGIN/OPEN SALES of a prior year dated set in the current year. Obviously, if the coins were struck in 2014 - nothing says they cant.

They just haven't done it before.

Starting sales today and selling two years from now - no issue either.

You are correct, memories are short, the only time it was done with the 1993
Thomas Jefferson commem. However, legislation for that coin was signed in mid
Dec 1993 and timing forced the sale in 1994. Also, the coin was paired with a
1994 matte nickel for the coin and currency set- another reason to sell in 1994.
This set--the 2014 limited edition proof set has all 2014 dated coins, no "late" signed
legislation, a little different---but nevertheless, the USM could do unexpected things.

From The Mint News Blog :

Final note: Many readers have been inquiring about the 2014 Limited Edition Silver Proof Set, which is still listed on the US Mint’s 2014 release schedule as “TBD”. According to the Mint, the coins for the product have already been produced, but there have been delays with the packaging. As such, the set will be released in early 2015.

Looks like there will be one coming. The mint needs to get their packaging vendors to do a better job.

edited to say : HAPPY NEW YEAR !!!!!!!!! To everyone on the Forum.

Are they also waiting for packaging for other sets? I hope so. I'm not entirely greedy so a Pan-Pac set in plastic packaging
will be good enough for me.

Will the original selling price still hold?
