Great collections no reserve auctions
Are no reserve .99c start auctions doing well there or is it still too risky?

I felt bad for the seller.
But if you don't , you might better have a reserve or you will take a bath
If you have high demand quality stuff...with good photos...and good supplemental marketing on the BST/email lists/contacting folks that have registry sets etc etc...you should have nothing to worry about..IMO.
Edit: I have done this with Top Pop Varieties and several other coins.
Not really looking for much these days but if I were, it might be a toner.
The name is LEE!
<< <i>keep in mind that anything that sells under $1000 there is an extra fee >>
I don't see it as an extra fee.
More like starting with a 5% sellers fee for coins that sell for under $1000. If $1000 or more......0%.

$2,980.00
This is definitely a rare coin, and who knows what it would bring. This was substantially more than the first 2 sales I saw on e-bay.

That is a lot of 70 DPLs.
Box of 20
100 % of the customers who buy from me using such a method are totally happy. Every auction house that allows customers to operate without restrictions should do well in the world. Those who restrict their customers from having a say will fall by the wayside.
Told a larger dealer yesterday that I'm seeing a lot of offerings on Sear's. I didn't know ColonelJessup was set up, too
Practice makes perfect & nobody is perfect. So, practice being nobody and be perfect !
Auction houses take a cut. They make their nut despite what sellers and buyers do. Just saying. All due respect to the "auctioneers". They rule the roost.

<< <i>Claychaser. Two coins were actually sold last night I believe. Did you consign both of them, or just the one you linked?
That auction did fine.

And quite the spread between the 2. I wonder what made the difference?
