    TDN:

I think there is some probability that you received an advance copy, so have you read the book yet? It looks really good. Too darn bad it's after 5 so I have to wait until Monday to order one.

… because if & when a guy can't afford or find the coin, the next best treasure is the history on it, in print.

If David and his researchers have done their typical job, the history will outshine the coin itself. Not for me, though -- my library is not that big.
At the rate of one coin per book, I would need a LOT more space. image

Is this a prelude to the sale of the one in private hands?

    Yes
  • Is S-B closed today?

Called but the phone kept ringing without an answer.

Call Shanghai---tell them QDB's book is out, and to hurry up. Don't forget to bargain for a quantity discount. And insist on a decent gold alloy mix.image

I just called and ordered my copy. They said the books aren't in yet, but are likely to ship out to buyers in early January.

I encourage folks to order now, as they are offering a nice discount before 12/31.

  • Ordered as well. Maybe S-B is looking to see how many they need to order before making an order to the publisher???

Not my series, nor my coin, but it's a tough book to pass up ... especially at the prepublication price.

I look forward to receiving my copy in January. Thanks for the heads-up, TDN.

TDN, I want to join the chorus thanking you because I just ordered my copy. Without your post, I probably would have been unaware of the book, so double thanks--one for making me aware and one for saving me money!!
