My three year old son loves it when the old man breaks out a few to look at. He knows his denominations pretty well but he likes the dollars the most because of there size. Anyone one else lucky enough to have their kids interested in numismatics? Extra points if you can identify the date of the coin in the top photo.

My 8 yr old step son shows some interest. He likes filling the album up from our change jar. My 22 month old? We have yet to see. I know she likes throwing slabs around like ninja stars though. image

My 10 year old girl is very interested, and wants to go to a coin show with me. I keep telling her she'll be bored, and that its only a big room, with a bunch of coins in cases and on tables, but she still wants to go...I created a monster lol

Sweet. I used to bring my daughter with me to make the rounds of shops & shows in the preschool years. She was kind of into it. Put together a 20th century set with her when she was first grade-ish ... then got onto other things -- turned into a very outdoorsy kid, lotta hiking, skiing, camping, running, not so much looking at coins & books. Now my son (9) has taken an interest, though -- strange, since as a younger kid coins & collecting seemed to make no impression on him at all. Lately he has half the Redbook committed to memory. You never do know ...

Don't forget the part about scores of crusty old men who like to pass gas and play it off like it was someone else, and the dealers talking to you with a mouth full of food and parts of it come flying out as you're inquiring about something image
