2014 Kennedy 50th DD or Machine Doubling?

Here is one for the hive:

2014 D 50th Kennedy

Funny how he states he mistrusts the TPG's. IMOP, it is a machine doubling.

I wonder if someone would tell him it is MD, if he would post the comment in his ad?

    Definitely machine doubling.
I decided to change calling the bathroom the John and renamed it the Jim. I feel so much better saying I went to the Jim this morning.

    The listing says:

    << <i>This is NOT a "confirmed error." >>

MD is a minor "error" and not worth much.
IF it was a doubled die (which it's not) then it would be a "die variety" and worth more but it's not and even if it was since it's very small it wouldn't be worth much anyway. It's only MD, just a quality issue.

Worthless machine doubling, plain and simple!

Here is another seller with delusions of a big payday on a machine doubled coin. When I pointed out that the valuable doubled die was a business strike and not a proof, the response was "That's why the price isn't $25,000!" He does not believe that this is machine doubled - and 1969 is infamous for machine doubling.

I had a machine doubled 1984 Olympic Dollar that was quite dramatic, and when I was informed about machine doubling, I was very skeptical.

Agree that it is machine doubling, but easy to see how the inexperienced can be fooled. Cheers, RickO

So, the listing is down. I wonder if someone bought it or if he took it down?
