Can we see some Draped Bust Half Dollars ?

A series that is ripe with varieties and can still be found for reasonable prices in circulated conditions.
Don't see them posted much here though.
If you have any images of your pieces I would love to see them.
Here is a cool one to start off this thread.
1806/5 O-104a R5
This is the third use of this obverse die and the fifth use of the reverse die.
This obverse die was used, annealed, overdated, hardened and then used again.
The reverse cuds are the main diagnostic to this "a" die state

Great coin . A lot of mint history wrapped up in one neat little package. I only have 2 or 3 of them.

I like the "reuse, recycle" attitude at the mint in those days!

1806/5 O-103a R?

This is a very tough die state with the two prominent die cracks, on on each side. Only one has been sold the last ten years in finer condition that I have been able to document, believe it or don't !

Here is the 1807 O-106
Notice the extreme difference in the strike characteristics between the obverse and reverse die ?
This is the third use of this obverse die hence the weakness.

I always liked these also, and casually hunted for one, though as everyone knows there's no place for it in
the standard 7070 album. Some years ago I caught up with Ed and Lance Hipps at a show where they had just
bought a nice nearly complete set of early halves in an old Wayte Raymond style album. They had cherry picked
out a few of the better dates and grades, and were 'blowing out' the rest of them. I was happy to pluck this one
out of the album at a very reasonable price:

Rev: C, Leaf nearly touches base of I.
13 arrows.

This seems to be Prime die state, w/o trace of reverse die crack.

Note:
1803
OBV #1:

In the 4th & 5th editions:
1803 O-104 is listed as obv #1.

This must be an error, since the O-103 is obv 1, rev C, the same as O-104.

And:
The O-104 shows a small 3, no vertical serif, which is different from the Obv 1, Large 3, with Vertical serif.

Therefore, the O-104 MUST be Obv-2.

I had some nice ones when I was dealer, but the only one that has stayed in my collection is the common variety of the 1806. I bought this at a Paramount auction in 1973. It's not the greatest example, but it is decent.

Here is an IDS for 1807 O-103 Where the reverse cracks are not yet fully developed. I also believe that there were repairs made to the coin to eliminate deep scratches or graffiti, lower obverse fields to either side of the portrait. There are 2 marks to the right that still remain. Thus NGC net graded this one to VF25, where it has XF details and luster.
