PNG New York Coin Show

Hello, all!

I know this is a bit late, but I was in New York for quite a long time (nine days) which meant I had a lot of catching up to do when I got back.

I just managed to complete my write up of the PNG's New York Coin Show ... have a read! image

    Amanda:

I have spent only 4 days in New York City and it was all business. Consequently your pictures of site seeing were all very, very cool. Thanks so much for posting them.

PS: The tale of the coin show was, as usual, really interesting. But the pictures were way cool!!!image

I know exactly what you mean ... normally, we hardly leave the convention center where the show is. It was refreshing to have a day to explore. Plus, my sister came out Saturday afternoon and we had 5 more days. image

Amanda, thanks for the report and info on the show. I was very curious to see how well this show would do, having chosen instead to go to the Portland PNNA show. I would have liked to see New York and some of its amazing historical parts, so it was great to see your site-seeing photos around this beautiful city.

Eventually we angled ourselves to head toward what we had come to see, the 9/11 Memorial. Absolutely nothing I can say here would do any justice to the site, the memorial, the solemn respect … I’m not even going to try. All I can say is that I felt like I was on the verge of tears for the entire time we were there.

There's a small number of members here who were working downtown that day and lived through it. Thanks for your tactful commentary.

Btw, I still work near the WTC but have never visited the memorial -- still too difficult even after all these years. I've been to the Wall of Names once, to see the one name I know is on that wall.

Yes, I'll be there, but you'll probably see me in Baltimore first!
