Talked with "SB" - the problem is my ancient operating system.

Turns out the operating system at work is IE-8 - ancient stuff.
I can't upgrade it as it requires a work ticket and IT staff.
Very much appreciate the time and effort Brian at SB gave me to solve the issue.

I guess there are no good web site builders in New York or California. If there were Stacks would have fixed their web site.

<< <i>One thing you cannot do is use the watch list. Once you specify an auction lot for that, you have start all over with the category you were reviewing, and you can never find the watch list in any case.

I just checked all of these issues and none of them exist for me. Forward, back, search, add to watchlist, bid, etc.
I have no idea what you are actually seeing in your browser though. What I see in mine - I have a massive button on the top right of the menu bar that says 'watch list'. It is always there. To add a lot to that list, I click the 'add to watchlist button over 'submit bid' button - now the page never changes, the button just changes to 'watching'. The site works fine for me. FWIW I am using an iMac & Firefox.
I can screencap this if anyone wants to see if any/everyone may be seeing different things.

Works pretty much the same for me, too, usually... I'm using Firefox on a Windows 7 OS.
I do tend to get varying results when using the browser Back button. Sometimes it brings me back to the spot I was in before, sometimes it doesn't. It seems to have difficulties when going from viewing a particular lot back to the category list. I also absolutely hate the filtering capabilities (or lack thereof)

Popular thing is to just test on the most recent or two and tell users to upgrade.
Best thing to do is make it workable with many and optimize for most recent.
I've been told I tolerate fools poorly...that may explain things if I have a problem with you. Current ebay items - Nothing at the moment
<< <i>You might try installing Google Chrome. It's free, and if I'm not mistaken it can be installed without admin privileges which means you might be able do it without help from your IT staff. It's worth a try, at least. >>
In many jobs, if you install things without permission from the IT department, you are in violation and could be in big trouble.
If he really wants to do this, he can get/use a smartphone, get a laptop/tablet, tether it to the phone's wifi, and then browse.

You shouldn't be fooling around on their site at work anyway (just like I shouldn't be fooling around on this site right now).
<< <i>Their tech department told you your "OS" IE-8 is outdated?
Brian is probably the Pres. Brian Kendrella
This situation is one of the obvious problems that could avoided this situation entirely had it been addressed on the SB side months ago. Cryptic explanation intentional. The tech has been around for years and years and years.
Always nice to make new friends.
I have no problem anywhere else. Too much trouble,,, I rarely go there to look anymore,,, I get too frustrated.
Last checked a week or so ago. Not any better for me
