Nice coin. I seen that coin on the NE website and if I had not already used up my budget, that coin would have been mine instead of yours.image

That's a killer Seated half, Yorkshireman.

Collector of British coins AND 19th Century US type, eh? You must be my "brother from another mother", because I've long been passionate about both. image

PS- DennisH- that Morgan has THE look I like in a Morgan dollar. (The magic mintmark don't hurt, either.). I have never collected Morgans aside from the odd type coin, but if and when I ever do, it will be grey circs with that look. I actually prefer that look to most MS Morgans' look, believe it or not. At least until you start talkin' DMPLs.

And Lance's Bust half has a definite "OMG" factor which makes me jealous.

Collector since 1976. On the CU forums here since 2001.

    Lance,

For fear of sounding like a member of the "19th century half dollar mutual admiration society", you never stop amazing me with your great looking Bust halves.

    Not in hand yet.

    PCGS MS-62:

Not a "monster" by any stretch. But I thought it had a pretty good strike for the type, a natural look, and a minimum of distractions from cracks and die erosion.

My photos seem to have been pulled off.
They were copyrighted by the dealer from whom I bought the coin.
I did get permission to post them, but the seller told me "If bought the coin, you bought the picture."

Sorry you can't see my picture. The coin is a beauty.

    They are back.

I remember what it looked like and it's fantastic.
Love the halo type toning, etc... Eye appeal all day long.

Edit. When I started to post, no pics. Finished post, they're back. Just like I remember. image

Yorkshireman- perhaps the temporary outage of your pictures was a timely reminder to save them and upload them to your own host, before they vanish on you.

If you haven't already, that is.

I am a poor to mediocre coin photographer, so I am an inveterate recycler of previous owners' photos.

Save 'em before they're gone, 'cause they're nice pix of a nice (and perhaps tough to photograph) coin.

Quarternut - to my (admittedly old) eyes that sure looks better than a 55, at least in those photos!
