I know proof lincolns are no longer "in vogue"
but I just had this one crossover and had the Trueview done.
Was NGC, now PCGS.
Feel free to guess the grade or, if you don't want to guess, I am posting the image with the cert# and you can just look it up....just please don't ruin it for others by showing how "good you are at grading images" if you do look it up first.
I've had this one for almost 7 years. Purchased from another forum member back then. I usually buy proof IHCs, for copper proofs, but he had this one listed and the price was within range for me, so I bit. I like it.
I've played, over the years, with selling it, but never put any effort into that. It very well may be stuck with me for awhile as my only Lincoln proof

I've been told I tolerate fools poorly...that may explain things if I have a problem with you. Current ebay items - Nothing at the moment

(Disclaimer: I know bupkis about grading copper)

Of course, these aren't too easy to grade from a single photo

truly only that spot below liberty catches my eye...in an overall
very pleasing and sweet example...i hope you're happy you kept as it's a beauty regardless of what a grading company calls it

Agreed. Totally out of style. That suit Lincoln is wearing looks like something from 1864!
All joking aside, these early matte proof cents are quite popular, despite their high cost, and the example you have shown is wonderful.
I am terrible at guessing PCGS grades, but I would estimate PR64 ... I see no bad distractions.

Now to check the cert to see if they got it right.

edited again to add: WTF?
edited yet again to add: You are so totally NOT stuck. Leave it the holder and, whenever you sell, quote a 1 1/2 pt premium for the color. First send it to CAC for the gold

Colonel....thanks. I actually hadn't thought of that. Was just going to SDB it when it got back, but may put a few coins together for CAC that are coming back from PCGS.
Photos are hard to grade from, though they are useful for finding negatives a lot of times, in order to knock grades down. In this case, Lincolns are like Washington Quarters for me....not easy for me to grade but I still wonder about this grade. Especially being a proof.
Abe has character though

Back to your coin - a nice one. Hard to grade MPLs from a trueview. I'm a big fan of Phil's and the product, but the luster on these is hard to capture if you're going to get the color. I would say given the toning breaks on the obverse this is a 64 RB. I assume the reverse isn't that orange color as well. The MPL trueviews seem to make the golden/red colors more orangy for some reason. Now I will check the cert # and see what a boob I am.
