    interesting. I thought they would be cool to own, but then figured I would have to expend smoe energy keeping the cardboard/packaging intact -- and that's not my thing.

    I like them at melt . The sellers of these seem to feel they deserve huge premiums though. I will stick with my dos pesos image

    Very cool looking coins and packaging!
    I had/have the Valcambi, the mini-roo half gram, the 1/25 oz Philha, the quarter Sovereign...all demanding high premiums when you buy them but have a little market, at least in my experience. I will probably end up making a bracelet for my wife!

    Goldmart is advertising $4 per gram over spot per their email. So about $100 an ounce over spot.

    Sounds reasonable

    A surprisingly low mark-up over melt. 25 grams in 1g coins for $1079 that melts at $979 is not too bad. Much better than those Valcambi combi-bars.

    Edited to add: Actually, I don't see any of the Canadian or Australian 1-gram and 0.5-gram coins being offered in TPG slabs. Are they eligible, or are they too small for the holders?

    Troy oz is ~31.1g

    $4/g over spot is more like $124.4 over per ounce


    Still not interested.

    I'd rather have the 3.11 gram American Gold Eagles, but steveben - your collection is impressive. It's funny how people get started collecting - they buy one and like it so much that they have to keep buying the next ones.

    Steveben, I too dig them and bought one set that was 8 grams “MapleGram8” and just bought this year’s which was 25 grams...Yes they are over spot but so what!
    Don’t let the gram cranks get you off of your collections game!
    You have a very cool rhythm going on!

    I have mainly stayed with the AGE's....I do have a couple of smaller gold coins. I do wish I had picked up some of the smaller gold years ago (as I did with the Eagles).... Just for SHTF scenarios.... Cheers, RickO

    fyi, i have the 2022 set...and recently realized that is a complete set of type 1s since king charles will be on the 2023 edition (see post above for the rest)

    so my last post ^^ was that 2023 would be a king charles set, but it was actually still elizabeth as a tribute issue. so far, i have not been able to find a 2024 set. according to rcm, they exist...but do they actually exist? anyone know?
