I need some cheering up!

I'm feeling melancholy today 9/17 even though a birthday (55 years old) should be a celebration. I've been battling some challenges and had another set back (not health related). So I'm wallowing a little in self-pity and it would bring me joy to see pics of beautiful and toned type coins (no moderns) from your collection if you are so inclined.

Based on information obtained by A. R. Frey in the March 1904 issue of The Numismatist in an interview with Morgan L. Marshall’s son
Dyer M. Marshall only 25 were issued in silver, with a survival of only 1-2 examples today.
I have been able to trace 4 examples including this one.

1860 M.L. Marshall, Oswego, New York, 1860. Miller NY-1007, Silver, 27.2 mm diameter, ex: Henry South collection.

Here's one I just picked up. 1913-s type 2 with some nice color. I would guess the grade is au something, not graded yet This one displays some serious clashing on the obverse. I hope your starting to feel better.

I too turned 55 earlier this year. I was the underbidder on the DDO below back in April. Thought it would have been a fitting birthday present to myself but alas, it wasn't meant to be. Hang in there!

Cheer up! I just had the dreaded 11th anniversay of my 39th - if you catch my drift. You can't possibly feel worse since you've had 5 years more to think about it. Work's got me down right now. People are so damn uncooperative at times making me feel disillusioned.
