Newp 1935-s Buffalo nickel & another 1935-s Buff

crazyhounddogcrazyhounddog Posts: 14,230 ✭✭✭✭✭
I just picked up a new 35-s for my herd, the first one I'm showing ya. Both of these Buffs have received the grade of MS-65 by pcgs. But as you know not all 65's are equal, and these two are no exception. I find the first one, my new pick up, to be far superior to the other. The strike is over the top and the luster on both sides are booming. So, I'm happy as hell to have picked this one up and feel the need to show it off. After all, what else can ya do with em?
Thanks for looking and comments are always welcome. Joe

While I don't know your opinion I would not consider those to be of the same numerical grade, nice newp

pcgs sees these two as the same numerical grade, 65. I find the first 35-s to be far superior than #2. I would have given the first Buff a 66 hands down.

both coins look easily worthy of there assigned grade and are nice. The bottom one is average but very nice.

The top coin is a find and tough for a 35s - The coin has a wonderful almost split tail and superb detail in the face.
The strike is great about as good as can be found for a 35s well above what one will find out there in the market place.

thanks for posting both of those, it's a good education for someone like me who has only a passing acquaintance with the series.
As always, great photos of the NewP, "Buffmeister" Joe

I like them both although the first one does have a better strike. Looks like the second one is hard to image because of haze on the slab, particularly on the reverse.
