Picked this up today at the Des Moines Coin Club Show. Hardly scarce or rare, but seems like a tough nut to find nice in VF with a good look.

    That's the look I like too, looks like a nice, unmessed with circulated piece. That date is a bit tougher than the 18 or 18-S. Only thing I don't like about it is I have competition looking for these nice early halves! imageimage

    Even though I am not a fan of walkers in general I think you did well Tom!

    The Des Moines show was decent for a 1 day show-just wish they would turn it into a 2 day affaire.

    Even nice raw commons with good looks and no issues are getting tough to find easily. Either they don't have the color or uniform color or that little bit of grunge in the crevices or there are rim or other issues like that gawdawful rub on the breastplate and eagle's breast. One has to remember that they were heavily circulated and that near perfection won't be easy to come by.

    These 2 are among my nicest ones. I need to work on my picture tinkering too.

    It's sometimes surprising what you'll find at some of these smaller local shows.

    NICE examples!!

    18-D & 28-S are TOUGH issues to find decent and problem free.
