Ha, I thought I knew who everyone was through educated guesses, Aethelred seated in his house, Rob standing and savoy seated. But then the unwashed feet/heathen comment was made and now I am thrown for a loop. And quite honestly, I have really only seen Rob in his Holey hat, so I have no idea what he has going on under there. Could be rabbits or gold coins or tentacles for all I know.

I do like that you all got together, that is nice. I would appreciate some company here as well. In Chicago you would think there are a lot more collectors, but the only club that I have ever been associated with is just far enough away that I do not make it there anymore. Harlan Berk doesn't return my calls (or lewd pictures for that matter). So its just the kiddo the gf and me.

Or, more realistically, me and my internets.

Hey, Savoyspecial is the barefooted one in that photo.

I'm standing behind the desk so you can't see my feet.

You can, however, note my increased obesity in the decade since my old "Holey Coin Hat" avatar picture was taken.

Ye Dead King's Castle was the envy of us all.

For comparison purposes, I meant to take a picture of my miserably squalid, tiny working space (piled so high with papers and wife and daughter's crap that the clutter heap comes up to the bottom part of the computer monitor). That tiny area (and the interior of our dinky trailer in general) almost look like something out of that "Hoarders" TV show.

Michael's office is not only impressive for its decor and tidiness- it's also HUGE. The picture above only shows less than half the room.

My first words to Michael upon seeing his righteous man cave were "you suck".

PS- not only is that office huge, but it also has a couple of closets, one of them a walk-in, which by itself is bigger than the pitiful workspace I have at home.

His walk-in office closet looks something like this:

Rob, thanks for the truth in advertising. I do like the look of the 2014 hat wearing Rob as well as Aethered's "casual Friday" look. You guys could still get the ladies if your other ladies (wives) wouldn't instantly kill you both for trying.

And don't feel so bad, Rob, not everyone is entitled to some fancy man cave like Aethelred. My library, for example also has another name, and that name is "dining room". Much like my car has it's own fancy name, "Honda Civic."

I don't remember, actually. I think so. I'd been to the lake that day and walked around afterwards with wet feet stuck into my loafers, sans socks. Which made my normally stink-free shoes and feet rather, umm... fragrant.

The fact that the other guys aren't passed out from the fumes indicates that my shoes were still on.

There are a few members of our coin club that collect ancients, maybe not exclusively, but I see them in our "show & tell" occasionally. Of course, not everyone in the club collects them, but I would guess that 75% or more of our members have at least some interest in them and if we had a program on them or something like that most would enjoy it. We meet in Glendale twice a month and you're always welcome to join the fun and share your love of ancients and to try to get the rest of us more into them as well.
