Q: Does Anyone Else Use CoinWorld Trends to Track Their Portfolio?

They recently overhauled their portfolio system. Did anyone else lose their existing records on their database?

You can very easily use the PCGS Set Registry to track your portfolio. I do.

The Registry is really two parts - public, which we all see, and private, which you can use for many things including tracking all your purchases, sales and current inventory.

    Check it out.

I don't really participate in the Registry sets but use the inventory features as noted above. The Registry sets aren't really available to support the way I collect but I find the Showcases beneficial to display my collection.

Another option is the Heritage "My Collection". You can put most useful information in, (purchase price, date, cert numbers, etc.), and it spits out a NumisMedia wholesale value, which is updated regularly. Makes it easy to track some estimation of value over time....

We can argue about the 'real' value of any coin, and who has the 'right' answer....but I feel better about looking at some wholesale value since it gets closer to what I could optimistically get should I sell than anyone's retail value, which I'd never be able to sell at!

I figure the side benefit of having my list on Heritage is that they would have access to it should I get hit by a bus, which could help out the wife. I'm a giver. image
