<< <i>that wedding reply is one of the coolest items i've ever seen here. >>
Thanks a ton! My wife sent a super nice note when she sent Will the invite. A Will Clark collector/fan would also recognize that he wrote his name as opposed to signing his signature on the RVSP. You can tell there are slight differences in the RSVP and the card next to it. Pretty cool stuff!
That wedding rsvp is awesome. What are the chances a rack pack would have 3 different cards of the same guy on it?? For a will Clark collector, that is amazing!
<< <i>What are the chances a rack pack would have 3 different cards of the same guy on it?? >>
From the factory, very slim, but with the production numbers for that year it probably happened a few times. From this seller bruingirl2007 anything is possible.

That's awesome! I wanted to send wedding invites to both Aaron Rodgers and Ryan Braun when we got married. My wife wouldn't let me.
Great cards from everyone indeed. Figured I'll start up round 2 to keep this going hopefully. Please feel free to post more - even if you have done so already. I love looking at these types of threads because sometimes it makes me see a card that I may all of a sudden have interest and want for my PC.
<< <i>Mike, is that your Milbury card? If so, what is doing outside of its sealed pack!! >>
No, I would never do that. I pulled it off the net. Mad Mike needs to be confined at all times as he can do a lot of damage if he is let loose on the world.

i've enjoyed sharing this in threads gone past, so here it is again......still one of only 2 ever graded from this postcard set, the other being a PSA 7 Garvey, here's a unique and unrivaled Fernando rookie.

Stunning card. I'd *love* to hear the story behind this issue and why they're so rare. Was it sold at the stadium?
<< <i>Stunning card. I'd *love* to hear the story behind this issue and why they're so rare. Was it sold at the stadium? >>
gosh, i wish i could provide better info, but it took some considerable research just to pinpoint what year it came from thanks to having a couple other singles with the same "D" designation, discovering someone else's Garvey PSA 7 which was already included in the Pop Report and good ol' internet access. not sure about actual rarity, though.
the postcards i have spanned the early 80's and were part of a larger accumulation of Dodgers stuff purchased many moons ago. i can only assume that they sold at the Stadium or perhaps through mail order.
i just checked around online again and actually located another of the same Fernando postcard, in Canada of all places.
<< <i>BPorter are you considering cracking and re submitting that Aaron? It looks hella nice for a PSA 5. >>

Any chance there's a surface wrinkle somewhere? I find vintage cards with a tiny wrinkle to be the best value out there. My 1961 Willie Mays is a blazer that looks amazing, and I got it for a song, all because a tiny wrinkle you need to really search for to see.

Sweet! I'd not seen this before and will make use of it right now.
Honestly, my favorite thing about this board is seeing all the different things people collect and items I wouldn't otherwise likely get to see. I love the oddball baseball releases that have popped up in this thread.
As for me, if I had to purge my entire collection with the exception of one item, this is the one I would keep:
I saw it in a price guide as a kid and immediately coveted it. It's the one item I own that I look at and think "I can't believe I have this!" every single time.
I bought it right here on CU from a poster that shall remain nameless. Suffice it to say, the slab still smells like 1977 Topps Steve Largent cards, and just leave it at that.
Got back my red flip sub today. Already posted the grades, and pre-sub photos of most of the cards, but not this one. Wanted to show it off. I love the way his sig looks across the NH flag. I've got the whole 50 states set. It would be pretty cool to have a few others autographed too.

Now if you had gotten one of his PSA 10 1977 Steve Largent cards, I'd be really impressed as any true football collector has at least a dozen.
