Eric, that card is a beauty. I use to own one in a 4.5 and I kind of regret selling it. I will another soon hopefully. Congrats on getting it.
DNice, did you buy that Maris auto already slabbed? Because if not, I would have gone with a red flip personally. That card is beautiful.
Thank you for the kind remark. That card was purchased in the blue flip. The seller actually had one card signed for each year he played. Some of the other year cards were beat up even a little more but the 63 was just calling out my name. Not sure how/where he obtained them from as I never asked but it looks like Maris signed them all at the same time because they all had the same style signature with the same pen. I agree that the red flip would have been nice but I am happy with either flip as I am a huge Maris fan and this being my only auto of his that I own.
<< <i>If I had to choose one card to sum up myself as a collector, it would be this >>
That's an interesting topic in itself. Mine would be my Yaz RC. Not only because it's the iconic card of my favorite player and a card I never thought I'd own. But also because it was a Christmas gift from my wife and 2 sons.
Eric--love that playball dimaggio. Probably my favorite of all the dimaggio cards. And yours has fantastic centering. Very nice for the grade--well done. See you in a couple of months.
I don't really collect autos, but I found this at the last National and have really enjoyed having it my collection ever since.

Awesome memories that one brought up! I remember busting a case of Fleer Tradition that year with a friend of mine at the beach of all places looking for one of those Musials!

STAY HEALTHY!

Liquidating my collection for the 3rd and final time. Time for others to enjoy what I have enjoyed over the last several decades. Money could be put to better use.
Hello! I know its non-sport, but hoping you don't mind! This is 1966-69 NBC promo photo Type I. Hard to find, and more rare with a vintage pen auto. I found this raw on ebay for $94, a steal. Very glad to have it!
1954 Schlitz Beer did a complete caricature book on the Milwaukee Braves (16 Players) that could be autographed by each player. It also contained Player information and a layout of old Milwaukee Stadium. My goal is to get Aaron to autograph it before it is too late.
