If we were all the same, the world would be an incredibly boring place.

Not surprised that it would be an 1827. But this is neither my pic nor my coin.

See John, this is why for years I told you that you weren't allowed to post pics of 1827 halves. image >>

I opened this thread and got to your post bustchaser and thought.....gee that looks just like one of my 27's....

    ok

i'm not gonna lie. that actually scared me a bit. it was like my whole freaking database was indexed! i'm semi-speechless.

more than probably half of the images were taken by me and/or uploaded by me for sharing. didn't expect it to be THAT accurate. really amazing how diverse the sampling is too!

also included are several avatars i've used here. it also seems to be including images i've absconded for my personal database. some strange stuff goin' on here.

The latest giveaway I put up for David Crowther's "The History of England" podcast.

    image

Which, as it happens, has one day left to run.

Just donate anything to his podcast (even a dollar), and you're entered.

I encourage you to listen, if you're so inclined. David's warm mix of wit and history is a lot of fun, and has livened up my commute many times.

<< <i>Ha! Not a coin, as such, but a cartoon of one. I doodled this
on the back of an envelope during the grassroots effort to
    "Send Lord Marcovan to England!"

    Hahaha! Fantastic! image

    And thank you!

It worked, y'know. I posted some of the results of the trip on the forums, though the video will be a long time in coming (and the finds have yet to jump through all the export hoops to arrive here yet).
