  It was a presentation dollar given by Abe Curry to my Great Grandparents in Feb of 1870. Been in the family
  all this time. He had three presentation dollars, this one, one to Gov Blasdel and one to Pres US. Grant.

  Wow! MarkInDavis that Morgan is beautiful! That one brings me back to around 1975... I used to buy circ Indian pennies from a jeweler in our town on main st. and I remember him bringing in a bunch of Morgans that looked identical to your 80-S for a client... All were in plastic flips and I would slide them out holding them by the edges and the frosty heads were thick like your cool piece...

  Okay, AB, I spent a good portion of my 3 day weekend looking at your SL 25c. A lot of exceptional coins posted here. Why not change the title of the thread to "coins that make me smile." I'd love to see more pieces of that calibre. Just a thought.................
