Where is the best place to find the best/highest quality toned Morgans?

    In AB's collection. Other than that no one dealer has a big sample of toners.
    You need to keep an eye out in auctions, dealers web site, ebay, other collectors
    who are willing to part one. What are you looking for certain dates or just Monsters in general?

    I sell a lot of high quality toned Morgans on Ebay on a monthly bases....right now I have quite a few colorful coins via buy it nows and a few up for regular auction.

    As stated earlier there is no one dealer for toned morgans, a few dealers specialize in toned coins but the ones I am thinking of in my head your going to over pay for them by allot.. Best place to look would be auctions,ebay, heritage, stacks and what not. Kryptonite comics always has a great selection of both toned and non toned coins that end every weekend on ebay, he lists them every weekend so you have a great shot at picking some up for a great price.     I had a couple true mega monsters in 2000 for cheap and sold them a couple of years later for what seemed like good profit at the time. Kind of like the gold bullion I bought in 2000 and then later sold for a "good profit at the time." image Buy and hold, buy and hold!

    There are a lot more high grade monster toned $'s than most realize. Only the grading services and a few major dealers know the true extent of what I am referring to. They just have to be sold slowly as to not blow out the lucrative market. I've seen things that most of you would not believe. Coins that most didn't think existed in those grades. I'm not saying I don't like toned $'s because I do, I'm not saying I think they are or are not overvalued, I'm just pointing that out for what it's worth.

    I couldnt disagree more, you can look up just about every ms67 toned morgan in a holder. As far as raw coins goes thats a whole other debate but high grade toned graded ms morgans, no there are not allot of hidden ones out there in holders. There are several in common dates 1884-0, 1881-s and so on but other dates such as 1885-cc, thats a tough one, with a whopping one in pcgs 68 that happens to have some color but by no means a monster and all of two in pcgs 67 that would be considered monster. If you spend any time at all collecting a series and going after color you know whats out there in high grade ms67 plus. Now if your talking about ms66? I personally dont consider ms66 morgans high grade ( thats just me and just that series) there are simply so many in 66 they are far from hard to find, and there are a TON of them in ms 66 with monster color and even more in lower grades, toned morgans are so easy to come by its really just plain silly. True monsters not so much but again there are still allot on the market, there is not some huge stash of monster morgans in holders sitting somewhere being hidden, thats just dumb.

    Thanks for the feedback. I have been able to add a few via QRC and SW Coins, along with a few raw coins I found. I will post some pictures once I have them taken and see if they qualify as "Monsters".

    Legend has high end monster Morgans (Sonnier, Sunnywood's duplicates) from time to time. Be prepared to pay big money if you're into monster stuff.
