PCGS Custom Label

Does PCGS offer custom label ?

More than 10 years ago, I was thinking of asking PCGS for label with my name on it so I can pass down my coins some day in the future. The draw back is that type of label may not attract buyers if the coins happen to be sold.

How about PCGS label with NFL logo on the top left hand side (GB Packers or SF 49ers for example) image

Just a thought.

Custom labels - only for Dealers who meet certain conditions

Names - a/k/a pedigree - I've seen it for some collections.

Ask pcgs what their requirements are.

There's probably an extensive criteria you must meet for PCGS to even consider putting your name on one of their respected holders. Two that come to mind are quality and quantity. I'm sure they also consider value in most cases.

The interesting thing is the PSA division will do it for anything and everything at a price

You have to have a top registry set. There are rules about sets that count, completion %, etc.

I am pretty sure the NFL would have something to say about putting their logo on something without permission.

I would think it would be easy to offer custom text on a label as this is just printing, but I can see reasons not to do this from a company perspective.

I thought in the past it was noted that the actual labels are bulk sheets so to do any custom label (not just the text) would require a large number of coins to be included as there would be a large number of labels created on just a single sheet.

If you want a "Custom Label", get a registry set in one of the top 5 positions and then you can qualify for getting Pedigree Labels which could include your name.

    For example: Walter Jones Colllection

A custom label would be something like the stagecoach insert that was done for APMEX with the Morgan and Peace dollars.

Hmm...might be nice to have an MLB label of a team logo on the Baseball HOF commems that are coming out. Might increase the collectability. Of course an agreement would need to be made with MLB but they license stuff all the time.

The better question is, will they do that for a non-standard insert?
