<< <i> The 49 is really nice with a creamy luster that I believe has never been dipped. You probably know how tough this date/mm is in gem brilliant. >>

Believe it or not, there is a Wisconson collector that has an entire roll of brilliant white 1949-P in PCGS MS65 FBL and a few 66's thrown in.

Still, it is a very tough and desireable date in white 65. It has taken him many years to accumulate his hoard.

There was a time when you could get $500 for one, but now it's about half that...

I've never really been a hoarder type...one of each date/mm is plenty for me, but a few years ago I passed on a real nice PCGS MS65FBL that was at least the equal to the coin I have now. I regret not buying it.

My icon IS my coin. It is a gem 1949 FBL Franklin.
