1972 1 cent DDO comments attributes

Looking at the 1 cent 1972 DDO comments on PCGS holders, comments range from minor variety to several attributes like FS -103 etc .. My question does the number of attributes or type ... increase the value of the 1972 DDO?

The attributions differentiate between the many doubled die obverses for the date. Die#1 is the strongest, and in theory should be the most valuable. However, die 4 (which has a pretty minor spread) has brought extremely high prices at auction (like 2 grand for a slabbed AU.) This has a lot do with the registry, along with the perceived rarity of that particular variety.

Yes the amounts vary widely as stated by DCW. Make sure you are aware of the market values of each variety before you purchase/selling.

this sounds correct at first but proves to be illogical after some thought. value(RE: price) should be based mainly on supply and demand.

When I intensely searched in 1972 I found a DDo 1, and also four "different looking" coins. I remember at thi time I wrapped them in Saran wrap and they were hanging around during round #1 as a collector but now decades later well into round #2, they are unlocated.

Do you mean what the labeling actually says ?
Here is my coin in an old rattler to show what they labeled this variety back then.

Although demand will understandably be strongest for the most dramatic doubling.

There are quite a few ANACs graded 1972 DDOs on Ebay. more than I have seen in other coin listings..

many of thes are missatributed #4 and#7. Look at the coins in the holders and if there is a dot in the lips its a die#7 worth 20.00 if no dot it bis a die #4 worth much much more!!!

They will attribute die-1 for no extra fee and just put "dbld die" on the holder.
Of course you want to check to be sure but for the most part you need to pay the error fee to get the others noted so any of the others that only say dbld die would probably be labeling mistakes.
Some die-1 might say die-1 or FS-101 or FS-033.3 if they paid the error service fee but most die-1 just say dbld die since it was no extra cost.
Other than that the rest are worth less unless they were die-4 and there aren't many of them.

So based on that, the ones with the least on the holder might often be the big one/die-1.

I see some 1972 DDO holdered cents don't have it labeled as such, but, instead have a sticker from Variety Slabbing Service saying it is DDO..... Is this sticker of any value?

Never heard of such a service. Probably some slimy-self serving-sucker-searching sticker-slabbing company.
