  I have never understood the mindset of doing stuff like that and likely never will

  Serious answer:
  
  It would probably be a very tough sell. Odd customizations of vehicles are very negative when it comes time to sell.
  
  Even worse, it is on a type of vehicle that draws little interest from car collectors.
