Saw this on a website today - seems like an odd way to attract business….. image

Fair Warning, we personally collect (and are strong buyers of) ……..(intentionally deleted). Consequently, many of pieces are already spoken for, still there will be literately 100's of duplicates and down grades available.

I took it to mean, we got the upgrade, you get what is now surplus.

Yes, I understood that to be what he means. He is just being (perhaps a little too) honest. Some might say honesty is the best approach here. Others might say there are few things worse than a dealer who also happens to collect the same series you do. Personally, I can't tell you how many times I've walked into a B&M, or asked at a coin show, "Do you have any (such and such)?" and the dealer says "No. Sorry, you won't find any because I collect those myself." ARRGGGHH! imageimage I'd rather the dealer keep that to himself and just say "No, I'm sorry...I don't have any of those right now." Oh well, to each his own opinion I guess. image

It is odd. If the coins are TPG then that is all that needs to be said. If they are raw, then a grade without a number should be stated with any known issues called out.

A quick inquiry (email, telephone) would resolve any questions... I always choose the direct route. Cheers, RickO

I read that in the email and thought it as pretty funny. image

My interpretation was the same as yours- just worded a bit oddly.
