This looks like a cool set and I also dig the '52 autos.

Not trying to stir anything up, but don't all of these cuts look exactly the same? Funny that it's the same color/fabric for so many different teams. Just an observation...

    TBP,

I had the same exact thought. It is a Topps product, so it will be interesting to see how much of it shows up on the market.

Did a case break of some Lineage last week and snagged this guy:
    imageimage

I've got it on eBay right now along with some other relics and autos. The link is in my sig if anyone wants to check them out.
I think when more people have a chance to see some of the parallel and insert cards this product will get some more attention.

I broke down and bought all of the blasters Target had (7 in all plus some packs). No ink at all but I got some decent cards. I guess the "best" was a Pujols '75 Mini relic. Also got relics of Ozzie Smith and Starlin Carstro which was the first I've seen with a pinstripe. A few cool standups (the Koufax looks nice) and a handful of 3Ds and cloth. I like the 75 minis best, just really cool cards. Jimmie Foxx was probably my best pull there. Pics to come...

I also bought 2 blasters of 2011 Bowman Platinum that were a big bust. A Freddie Freeman was the highlight, IMO.

    Nice 1/1.

I bid on some of your mini relics I need.

Did you only get 9 relic minis in the case or are you keeping the "smelly" ones. image

They are.. Have you taken a close look at the 75 minis from this product? L/R centering is terrible. Maybe 1 out of every 5 is centered.

Yep, just 9 relic minis, plus the jumbo /25 David Ortiz relic that is also on ebay. Each hobby box is guaranteed to have 1 Relic and 2 Autos, so my break of 10 boxes was spot on. I think I ended up with one extra auto, and the printing plate is also a nice bonus. I also pulled a Michael Morse Canary Auto /10, but that's not for sale at the moment. Thanks for the bids! Hope you get some of them.

<< <i>what is the paper stock used on the "'75" minis? Heritage-esque? >>

Nope, just the standard modern Topps thin cardstock. The nice thick cards is why I love the heritage. If anyone wants to trade Lineage for Heritage I still have some SP's that I need for this year's Heritage set.

I like this product but they should have included more inserts into packs rather than straight base cards. Its going to be very hard to complete the 75 mini subset.

I decided I wanted to try and complete some of the insert sets so I picked up a case plus a couple of additional boxes in addition to the 2 boxes I opened earlier. Inregards to the minis I did pretty well. I got 84 different cards from the set of 200 with only one duplicate. (The only duplicate I got was in the 14th and last box I opened where it had 7 minis instead of only 6. Had quite a streak until then). In regards to the Diamond anniversary I got 76/200 with 7 duplicates. With the platininum diamond I got 83/200 with only 1 duplicate. On the stand-ups I got 20/25 including the mantle and Aaron with 7 duplicates. With the 3D, I got 20/25 with 8 duplicates. With the Venezulaean, I got 18/25 with 8 duplicates but none less than number 7. With the cloth stickers, i got 22/50 with 7 duplicates but for some reason none between 13 and 31. So if anyone else is working on this set and wants to trade I would be willing. 1 other thing about the case. One of the boxes did not have a header card in it.

In regards to the relics. I have 15 relics with no duplicates. I have 15 insetad of 14 because in one of the boxes in the case there were 2 relics instead of 1. (This does not count the additional header relic I posted earlier.) Here is a post of the relics from the case plus 2 I received in the 2 loose boxes I opened (Schmidt and Dunn). No canary relics in these boxes. At least the patches aren't all the same color.

    image
    image

As for the autographs, one thing I have noticed is these older players could teach the younger players about how to sign their names. With the older players you have no trouble telling who they are from their signature. No canary autos in these boxes.

    image
    image
    image

Here is the additonal autos from the 2 extra boxes

    image

I also now have 3 Pablo Sandoval autos out of 28 total.

I did get 1/1 card in the case
    imageimage

So even though I have done very well in the distribution of some of the insert sets I still have quite a way to go on these. But, I probably will pick up some more. It's a good thing the price is dropping and right now you can get a case for around 700 shipped. Might need to wait a little longer before buying some more. And earlier some one asked about printage. I think I read that there is suppose to be 3000 cases of these. BTW, has anyone else read on the bottom of the box about the math problem Canadians are suppose to solve before they can enter the drawing for some of the insert cards? I am also going to post another question later about some print errors I found in one of the boxes. While these cards probaly aren't for the people who are trying to hit a big score with one card, it is fun for me and the set collector in me.

I just listed a big quantity of PSA graded 2011 Lineage on eBay if anyone's interested. Check the link in my sig.
    It's mostly PSA 10 & 9, including a /10 Michael Morse Canary Auto PSA 10 POP 1.

I posted this in the BST forums already, but thought I'd mention it here for any Lineage collectors who don't frequent the BST.

    Thanks!

Opened another case of the Lineage and did pick one big hit plus a few other interesting cards:

First got a Whitey Ford mini relic, a red printing plate John Danks 1/1 and a Ichiro Lineagrah 24/99

    image
    image

Then picked up 2 gold mini relic cards x/10 and 1 52 reprint gold auto card 2/10

    image
    image

Also got a McCovey jumbo relic 4/25

    image
    image

And finally the best card I have got out of the boxes I've opened.

    imageimage

I also think Topps must have had Pablo Sandavol sign 10,000 autos because i have like 7 of his auto cards now.

You guys almost convinced me to get a case, but think I'll pass. There are just to many insert cards and since I'm a set builder, they would drive me crazy. The price is right though.

I actually just brought that up about 2012 Archives. I hope the spread more inserts around than they did in Lineage. I think I bought 4 or 5 hobby boxes and some blasters. I think I ended up with 4 complete sets of Lineague and didnt come close to any of the insert sets (Cloth stickers and 3D cards is what I was after).

Still a awsome set to rip.
