These are usually always seen holed for suspension and in really low beat up condition. If you look at the obverse you can see a small guide circle for tapping at 12 o'clock right between CO. & MF. that is part of the obverse die design. When I found this on the browse floor today I grabbed it asap since this example had really nice pull-away patina. The rim bump just didn't bother me since all others I've seen are far worse. When I came home I checked some auction archives and discovered a neat provenance I wasn't aware of when I purchased it.

Sorry I'll try to fix it
Here ya go -
Silvered White Metal. Sharpness of AU, dent along the bottom edge. The obverse exhibits a remarkably close copy of the Morgan dollar's Liberty head with the advertising legend around. The reverse depicts the Baltimore Monument with 150th ANNIVERSARY BALTIMORE around and OCTOBER/ 1880 below. Light marks and a few trivial rim nicks. The original white metal surfaces peek out from under the silvering around the lettering and devices.
From the Eliasberg Collection; given as a gift by Abe Kosoff.

Nice pickup, and I also had a few purchases from that auction,
none of the coins had Pedigrees on the holders, however, although
Stack's had designated the provenance to Eliasberg on the coins I won.
It really makes no difference to me - as it makes no difference to you,
we both got really neat items out of that sale.
Congrats on your Newp, it looks and sounds like its a condition census piece.
