Found this one on a bid board and no one bid on it $14.50 was my bid and i was the only bider. I think they where only looking at the holder not the coin. What do you think?

Not the big one, but still a nice DDO.

    You can't go wrong picking up a slabbed MS-63 72 DDO-die-8 for $14.50!

Whoever had it graded might not have understood that they only label die-1 unless you pay the extra fee.

    Nice pick! image

I don't know what the market value is for such a coin - $14.50 may be about right?
I would assume whoever sent it in, either was hoping it was 'the big one', or was disappointed that PCGS didn't
give them the proper die designation, and didn't want to spend more $ resubmitting it. Otherwise why submit an otherwise
    FV coin?

I found 4 or 5 of these while roll searching in August 1972, along with "the Big one"

I have a raw one siting on my desk now but it's alot harder for me to send it in with the crazy price on error's now. I must have 300+ mixed Errors that i can send in but i just cant push my salf to doing it at them price's, I think that should be the quarterly special. image

I think you paid $14.49 too much for an unimportant minor error. Sorry to be negative but errors of that type do nothing for me.

Considering that it would cost you more than the $15 you paid to have a raw one holdered you did ok.

    agreed
  • I like the coin and the price paid is really good a raw coin would be 18 to 20 dollars then the price to have it put in a holder, so this = great deal.....

I decided to change calling the bathroom the John and renamed it the Jim. I feel so much better saying I went to the Jim this morning.
