A Small Trade Dollar Set Milestone

My milestone isn't nearly as great as crypto's, and my set isn't anywhere near as great as his is either. I recently acquired a wonderful and tough 1873 S Trade Dollar, completing my self-dubbed short set of early date Trade Dollars which includes the 73P/S/CC, 74P/S and 75P. Of course, I'm sure my self-declared short set isn't up to par with OriginalDan and crypto's standards seeing that it doesn't include varieties. I have to give credit where it's due. AUandAG and LanceNewmann listening to my beginner questions when I first started collecting in general nearly two years ago. PonyExpress8 finding me at a local show and encouraged me to attend Summer Seminar where I met some amazing teachers and peers. ColonelJessup for hilarious and sometimes serious PM's. OriginalDan, crypto and Keoj for mentoring me in the series I love and putting up with my slight OCD with studying die marriages
.
Here are the coins. The set can obviously use some upgrades, but I'm content for now. Please excuse my nonuniform cropping. I've been trying out different methods of photography.

A very nice, matched set....Congrats
Congratulations on the new acquisition.
I can really appreciate your efforts. Great idea on doing a Self
Imposed Short Set. I became disillusioned when I had to get
the 1878-CC ... So, I lost interest in completing the set of regular
issued coins.
The design still ranks right up there as one of our nation's most beautiful coin.

Very nice, indeed.

<< <i>If you ask me you have done quite handsomely and as Ankur stated a great matched set! Congrads on your self declared short set
I agree with Realone. You have done very well and the coins match nicely. Would rather have this set than a set with more coins that included some problem coins.

<< <i>That is a great group of hand picked coin Dan! I will warn you short sets tend to become longer with time in this hobby. Heck my set started as a CC short set
I don't plan on stopping anytime soon, I hope to pick up a nice 77CC and eventually a 78CC to go with the set. It'll be a long time coming for the latter though
<< <i>Great set stealer, congrats. You have a good eye and it shows. >>
And the photos are pretty good too, better than that other Dan

what i wouldn't give to have a crystal ball and see where you are in 2 decades from now
.
Of course, now you have to go on and finish it. It may sound daunting with the 78-CC out there, but the 73-P, 74-P and 75-P are also very tough and you have those already.
