1886-O Morgan; honest grade opinions, please. *Grade revealed*

Hey guys,
I would appreciate your best grading guess on this Morgan dollar. I know the caveats about grading from photos, but I would appreciate a few expert opinions on grade. NO mint Morgans are not my strong suit due to their infamous weak strikes. This one isn't weak, imo, but it does reside in a small white ANACS holder, with a lackluster grade, I believe. Thinking about crossing it with our host. I will reveal the ANACS grade in just a bit.
Thanks for the grade opinions! 55-58 seems to be the concensus. Believe it or not, this coin is in a small white ANACS holder graded AU50. That's why I was thinking of crossing. However, no votes for MS60 or higher, which is the real money for this date, of course. As it is, it only set me back $70, and the strike is quite nice.

Getting an AU53 or higher grade on this would be a coup as it may be ungradable due to hairlines/old cleaning.
It doesn't look all that wholesome in these photos. Still probably has the value of an AU coin though. If it does earn a grade
I'm thinking 50 or 53 due a slight netting from the moderate baking soda look.

I agree there's no way for an MS grade.

Before I read what it was officially graded, my guess was MS-62.

Therein lies my (small) problem. You say it's an $1800 coin, but 2/3 of a c-note is all it cost me. Just depends on how lucky I feel, I suppose. Jim Beam will likely determine if I send it to our host or not. It loves me, it loves me not...

Mine was AU50. There is NO way it would grade unc - the luster is impaired from mishandling and the scratch on the cheek limits the AU grade to 50. Nor will it cross to PCGS at that level - IMO it would 'genuine'.
Sorry

I agree.
I was going to say that if you try a straight cross, it won't.
If you crack and submit, I think it BB's.

<< <i>Maybe EAC standards the net grade for this is AU-50, but details wise it is 55/58. >>
Details are only part of the equation. Luster and surface quality too. And EAC???

It is not an $1,800 coin.

I think you know that PCGS doesn't grade merely by details, right?
