I am trying to sell a $50 gold buffalo and but no one seems to know its value and of the five poeple that have claimed some interest not a single offer has been made at any price? Can I get some advise on this coin? Thanks!

Is that whitish residue on the slab plastic or the coin itself?

True buyers of PR70 moderns will need to know.

  • There are some on ebay one sold and some on better auction sites. I looked it up on PCGS and did the shop now option. I know you know all this but newer people like me might not. Have you asked a starting price for it with a best offer?

Learn to do a search of completed auctions on ebay. It is a great way to determine current market prices. While asking prices are much higher, completed sales indicate somewhere in the $3500 - $4000 range.

FYI...The last one that sold on eBay, 9/20, via auctions style listing was for $3420.08 with free s&h......Should give you some idea.

I was in a shop and a guy walked in with one. He was offered 97% of melt. They told him that was a good offer as the refiner pays 98% of melt. He left in a huff. Take a look at what they sold for on ebay and Teletrade.

Input the coin number into CF and you should have the data you need.

    Auctions on these average $3,500.
Same coin with FIRST STRIKE labels average $6,000. Wow, $2,500 for a label.

    Info from Coin Facts.
