That was how I learned a little bit about Lloyd. I was in on that bet with Lloyd back then and it made for interesting discussion. And it was our little bond over the years. Very gracious man who was true to his word. This is just too sad. Our family lost our "baby" brother at 43 yrs young in January. This isn't supposed to happen. Deepest sympathy to Lloyd's family.

I remember Lloyd from Athens High School. He graduated a year after me.
I remmeber him as a nice guy and as Boiler78 said....he always had a smile on his face - even back then.
I did not know him well but do recall a few conversations from school.
When I saw the obit. yesterday I thought that name looked familiar.
Sad to go at such a young age that is now making me feel my mortality!
RIP
He never paid me any royalties.
luv ya buddy.........

This is horrible.
I had a great 20 min conversation with him at the CSNS show. What a great guy. He will be missed by me. My thoughts go out to his family.
I'm really sad about this...............
I remember he had that superb 1916/16 Buffalo Nickel -- probably the finest one extant IIRC.
