My dad will turn 93 next week and is one of a shrinking number of Pearl Harbor Survivors. He was in the Navy working on the docks as a fireman while the USS Shaw was being refueled when the Shaw was it by Japanese bombs and the ship's magazine exploded, sending munitions from the ship flying everywhere, one of which landed right next to my dad, but for some reason it didn't explode. I am very grateful for my dad's service to our country, and even more grateful for those who gave their lives for our freedom.

“A nation can survive its fools, and even the ambitious. But it cannot survive treason from within. An enemy at the gates is less formidable, for he is known and carries his banner openly."
Me with my father and mother. The most important task today was thanking my father for his sacrifice, from one Vet to another. 101st Airborne Screaming Eagles, Vietnam 68-71. 47 combat jumps and many other intimate details that are grim at best. No need to describe what's in the shadow box, this is an intelligent bunch here. God bless those who served, are serving and those who gave all Love ya Mom and Dad.

I give away money. I collect money.
I don’t love money . I do love the Lord God.
