It is a ICG MS 62 witch it looks but I am wondering if the color is good
enough to cross. I'll probably try it when I get it in hand.

Doesn't strike me as a valuable enough coin to burn the $30 cross fee. Yeah, it'll probably cross as a 61/62 which are worth about the same money. But, you'll
probably double your cost into the coin. I'd rather just buy a choice MS64 for $70 or so. And if it doesn't cross at any grade, then you still have an ICG MS62 and a wallet $30 lighter.

I erased the comment I typed out as it seemed a bit harsh.

Why would you want to cross this coin? It looks MS-60ish to me.

Maybe it would. But, should it?

I don't think the color is an issue.
May go 60/61 if it crosses.
Not sure what you have invested but I'm amazed what some people will buy for a hundred bucks.

No, that doesn't appear to be the specific look of color that is permissible with our hosts, try NGC but it isn't a sure bet there either.

If the OP paid $42, would you still be amazed at what "some people will buy for a hundred bucks"?

Wasn't referring to the OP, was thinking of the resale value after it was slabbed.
I think it would easily bring a decent price if it ever went on the market.

So why not get it slabbed?

I think she's a very pretty coin myself.

I do not think PCGS will clean grade it that scratch is larger than one on a Morgan I got back on my last submission in a Genuine holder. And they don't really care for any color on Peace dollars except brown.

Any toned Peace dollar seems to grab at least some people's attention, even if the toning is ugly. image

The toning on this one looks "so-so" to me. That big mark below the "L" in "LIBERTY" could be a deal breaker if you try to cross this piece.

Yes it will cross as long as it is not cleaned and you leave it in the holder marked "ANY" grade.
