Maybe some young people will also be spurred to attend and see the coins and gain an interest.

Rodman was asked about NK on the last ep of Celeb Apprentice.
He didn't do well, defending nor approving of the punk dictator. I read that as he really was over there as Basketball Diplomacy, and he lacks the political bs to talk his way out of a tough question on tv.
People also forget the Harlem Globetrotters went, too. They were trying to talk the punk down.
Also, Rodman is a recovering addict.
If you do see him there, tell him I said that Dr. Drew wants him to be 100% clean 24/7 and stop doing promo parties at clubs.
And I wouldn't pay for an autograph from anyone. I'm somewhat trying to get off autograph collecting... but I'd love to get Warren Buffett's.
I grew up in Chicago during the time when Da Bulls were winning every year (except for when Jordan went and played baseball). I didn't like Rodman when he played for other teams, but when he came to Da Bulls I became a huge fan of his. Sure, I didn't like all of his off the court antics, but on the court there was no one that could do his job better. Looks like I might be one of the few forum members to have something autographed by The Worm!!!
Only two people I would go out of my way to meet, being a hockey guy: Gretzky and Orr. Met Bobby Orr and got an auto last year, now just the Great One left.
I've always been more interested in meeting political figures, but by no means would I want an auto. I'd rather have a conversation and possibly a picture than an auto.

sorry folks but IIRC, the Lakers girls nor any other famous person Ever visited a country which is developing long range nuclear missiles and proclaimed the ruler of that country to be A nice guy! Perhaps a comparison between Rodman and Jane Fonda is needed since I'm sure Jane Fonda would draw similar criticism. There is point where money should have no say in who or who not to invite and I find it incredibly insensitive that he was even considered for invitation. Unless, of course, the allegiance to the Lakers transcends patriotism.

I wouldn't mind getting one but I have no idea what Dennis Rodman is doing signing autographs at a Coin show. I am not sure why so many folks are opposed to paying for autographs....I personally have no problem paying for someones time even if they got famous off of my support via ticket sales. There are not to many of us here who would take 4 or 5 hours out of our day and expect nothing in return.
If I had any money to wager...lol...I'd wager there was more interest in Rodman at Cheetah's on his b-day, than there will be at Long Beach. Not being 'center stage' is not something he's going to be used to....unless he brings some of the Cheetah girls with him....then you'll see record breaking crowds!! lol Perhaps.......???? Fonda - being antiwar, somewhat articulate and saying eh communism ain't so bad. Rodman - can't get out of his own way saying earlier "nice guy" (a problem I admit), but his efforts were to talk the little punk down. He was on the Celeb Apprentice and got asked again, he got flustered, and didn't really answer. I say because he's not articulate (yet?)nor diplomatic. I think he knew the nice guy thing was a mistake. I definitely don't think he came back with praise for North Korea's system. It was to really to sell the idea that the US wasn't so bad to "lil kim!" (TM) ... He screwed up in what he said, not what he did.

Sad, but true. I first saw him at a Sports Card convention in Arlington, TX in 86/87 and he had his own table where he was set up signing an 8x10 glossy of him firing one to homeplate for $5. There were not many takers. OTOH, I arrived early that day for a first 300 entrant shot at both Bob Gibson, and Lou Brock for the same $5.
Gibson's worth standing in line for. I have him on a ball and an 8x10, both signed in person. Same with Ozzie. I also have a Stan Musial autographed cover commemorating the 25th anniversary of his hitting 5 HR in one day. Also signed in person. Add in a Jordan autograph and that's pretty much the extent of my sports autograph collection.
I liked Rodman for his work as a Bull but that's where my admiration stops. I certainly wouldn't pay significant money for his sig unless it was gong to charity. If I were going to LB I'd consider Montana though.

Sad, but true. I first saw him at a Sports Card convention in Arlington, TX in 86/87 and he had his own table where he was set up signing an 8x10 glossy of him firing one to homeplate for $5. There were not many takers. OTOH, I arrived early that day for a first 300 entrant shot at both Bob Gibson, and Lou Brock for the same $5.
I also have a Stan Musial autographed cover commemorating the 25th anniversary of his hitting 5 HR in one day. Also signed in person.
Add in a Jordan autograph and that's pretty much the extent of my sports autograph collection.
I liked Rodman for his work as a Bull but that's where my admiration stops. I certainly wouldn't pay significant money for his sig unless it was gong to charity.
If I were going to LB I'd consider Montana though.
