Re: Slabbed coins - There are some coins that LIVE within clear plastic and wear their labels with pride... while there are others that HIDE behind scratched plastic and are simply dragged along by a label. Then there are those coins that simply hang out, naked and free image

Numismatic Coins ... as opposed to what kind of coins?

  • If I understand it right they're trying to create a MLM selling bullion coins does anyone know how their comp plan is suppose to work? I know all there is to know about MLM's I previously worked in the corporate office of Herbalife International the 2nd largest MLM in the world 3.5 Billion in annual sales and the success is dependant upon recruiting sales rep's selling them on the royalty payment model more you recruit the more you make (a pyramid). I just don't see how they can possibly reasonably price bullion coins to allow them to pay out royalty's or a bonus. The average person doesn't invest in PM's in my opinion and if they do they sure aren't going to pay the premiums that the Numis Network will be charging.

  • Here is something that a coin collecting friend of mine told me about Numis Network. He owns over 5,000 graded and ungraded Silver American Eagles. The entire thread can be found at:

    http://www.mortgagegrapevine.com/thread/?thread=567893

His Specific comments were made through his friend that is also a Numis Representative and are as follows in the context of the above thread:

This is my first read through this thread and I find an Interesting knowledge base of coins here. The gentleman on the rant is hung up on the intrinsic value of the coin, not the graded version that Numis sells. I feel very safe in calling myself a coin collector and only wish I could share all the good fortune I have collected over my 30 years. Those of you who know the real value of an MS-70 coin graded by any of the big 4 will see this as a great opportunity - Hands down. Those of you that don't, read any book about building substantial net worth and diversification with Numismatic coins. What is the purpose or goal of collecting coins? Well, my philosophy as passed down from generations of collectors and is simply to ; 1) Build net worth, 2) Obtain the highest grade of coin you can possibly afford, and 3) Be consistent in your pursuits. Numis Network satisfies all three just fine for me. If you are curious about coins this is a safe way to get involved. If you are a good marketer you will find this an easy sale and if driven that extra bit, you'll make others money. If you just want to collect precious metals you won't find a better more safe way to buy than Numis. The future of Numis holds many exciting coins graded by all of the reputable grading companies. Those that turn their noses up at the ANACS grading scale can simply choose PCGS or NGC graded coins. They will all be available for your browsing, purchasing, and to recommend to your client base. Those of you out there that assist in building portfolios for folks will see Numis as an excellent opportunity to always have a great option to present. In closing, my grandfather and my father saw the value in silver and gold. It doesn't take a statistician to see what is happening to our dollar or to see the incredible return on silver and gold over the past 40 years. Let the naysayers be naysayers and in 20 years we'll see if they aren't still just naysayers.

His comments seem to make a lot of sense to me. I know he is an expert collector not unlike the men and women that post here. I think his points are worth consideration.

How do they get away with this?

  • EagleEyeEagleEye Posts: 7,677 ✭✭✭✭✭
Who are the "Big 4"? P,N, A and what, ICG? Bet you get ICG coins, not PCGS.

So you have to buy 100 MS-70 ICG silver eagles at $110 each to get to the level where you can start finding goobers to sell 100 more to. Then you get $10 per silver eagle on those. The upper levels split the $100. Actual cost is around $35.

The loosers are the ones who actually think they are buying an investment. They are investing in the Numis Network Multi-level marketing scheme.
