Congrats making commander. I wasn't never a fan of the officer route in the army, but now Ive been poked and prodded a bit in that direction and can see myself someday being an officer...not soon though.

Congratulations on your promotion John. I promoted to CDR in 2008 and will retire in October after 35 years service (LDO). Taking the orders to LINCOLN and qualifying OOD was definitely a good career move. Officers in your designator don't usually take the time to qualify OOD. Good on you and best luck in your future service. Pat

  • Congratulations on your promotion. I served on the U.S.S Abraham Lincoln (SSBN602) when it was a Polaris submarine. But that was in 1963, a long time ago it seems. Anyway, from one who put his time in and retired, keep up the great work.

Wow, congratulations! That is quite a story and life journey.

I did not serve but most of my family did, mostly US, some in the King's Army of Yugoslavia (they were good guys). Anyway only one entry for me please - and thanks for the giveaway!

Not only does the coin have great fields but it seems to have great luster as well!

Congrats again on your promotion it sounds like it was well-deserved image

Congratulations. Life often throws us a curve but with patience and hard work we move on successfully. Don't enter me for the draw as I would rather see a non-dealer get the coin. I just wanted to express myself on your well-deserved promotion. image
